Discussions with Rick Burton and buzzardtx got me thinking I should put something together about video basics -- what to do before and after you push the red button. For those of you who haven't noticed, I put together this article to get us started:

"Winff"? I don't understand. Are you using Flipshare? Maybe you could spell out the name of the software?

Good idea, basic tips are always useful. For my part. coming to the Flip from a background of still photography, framing and composition are familiar but editing is a fairly unknown territory. Use of shots, types of shot, timing and creating a narrative are all areas I could use help in. I look forward to seeing what you are able to come up with
