The Flip SlideHD Camcorder
This video is about the Flip SlideHD camcorder. The Flip SlideHD camcorder offers 16gb of memory, and 3" diagonal LCD viewing screen, and adds a headphone jack to make this the best camcorder so far for viewing your Flip video. You can get a detailed comparison of the specs that compare the Slide, with the Flip MinoHD, generations 1 and 2, and the Flip UltraHD here, but I think I have covered all the ones you are likely to care about in this review.
If you want to buy the Slide, this link will give you Amazon's best price, and help out our site at the same time:
Flip SlideHD Camcorder, 4 Hours (White) NEWEST VERSION
Use this to discuss the Review of the Flip SlideHD Camcorder video, posted in the Secrets of Flip HD Camcorders workshop.
The Flip SlideHD makes it easier to watch video on the camcorder itself, providing a 3" diagonal screen, and room enough for up to 12 hours of video, if you load it from a Flip Channel. I presented this as another dimension of shareability, which seems to be Flip's big differentiatior. Is this convincing? Do you see a downside?

FlipShare TV brings your entire Flip Video library into the family room and onto the TV screen over a wireless connection, and lets you share video instantly with other FlipShare TV owners. The $149.99 price includes free shipping. Click the ad on the left to buy FlipShare TV from the Flip Store now, or you can pre-order from Amazon |

As of now, the price at Amazon is $265.96, but they are re-selling from another retailer, so you don't get free shipping. Shipping cost is $8.00, so it looks like you only actually save about $6.00.
Here's the link to purchase at that price.
Because the Slide needs to lie flat on its lens side when you're doing table-top viewing of your videos, they recessed the lens. There is no lens bump-out on the Slide. That makes it a hair slimmer, and a tad more pocketable than the UltraHD.
